Two lucky prize draw winners have won tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final at Old Trafford, Manchester next week (28 May) courtesy of Transit Connect, Ford’s International Van of the Year, 2003.
Chris Sutcliffe from Bradford and John Hatfield from Wakefield, took test drives of the Transit Connect at their local Ford commercial vehicle dealerships and entered their names into a prize draw to win. The exclusive package includes overnight accommodation at the deluxe Manchester Thistle hotel, meals and transport to and from the game, as well as the tickets.
Chris Sutcliffe, a Leeds United fan and group finance director of LTT Vending Group Ltd, was testing out the Transit Connect for his Bradford-based employer. “The 40 year-old company has nationwide contracts and already runs a fleet of around 70 Transits. On the strength of the test drive, we have purchased and now run our first Transit Connect,” he said. Chris is looking forward to his first ever trip to Old Trafford and will be taking colleague Jason Barnes.
John Hatfield, is a sales representative for the 140 year-old niche-market wire products manufacturer, Bethel Rhodes, based in Keighley.
“I clock up 20,000 miles a year for my employer, and I was delighted to be given a new Transit Connect six weeks ago. The upright, high seating position and the spacious interior are an asset,” John said. He will be drawing a colleague’s name from a hat to decide who will accompany him, and they will be driving the Transit Connect to Old Trafford.
The Transit Connect has proved a winner many times over since its launch with the ultimate accolade of International Van of the Year award bestowed for 2003.
