Lucky Denbigh Man Connects With UEFA Champions League Final

A lucky Denbigh man, Mike Jones, has won tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final at Old Trafford, Manchester, next week (28 May) courtesy of Transit Connect, Ford’s International Van of the Year, 2003.

Mike Jones, a supervisor at the Denbigh company E.G. Morris Electrical took a test drive of the Transit Connect at his local Ford commercial vehicle dealer, Bramall Quicks of Chester and entered his name into the prize draw to win. The exclusive package includes overnight accommodation at the deluxe Manchester Thistle hotel, meals, transport to and from the game, as well as the tickets. Mike now has to decide whom to take with him to Old Trafford, and having two football-mad teenage nephews will make the choice difficult.

“E.G. Morris Electrical performs both commercial and private installation, maintenance and inspection work in the North Wales area and relies on a fleet of vehicles which includes Escort vans and, since December, our first Transit Connect. I was actually at the side of the road in the Transit Connect when I heard about my win. The spacious design and seating position are an asset; as Secretary of the North Wales Group of the Institute of Advanced Drivers, I am very aware of the need for a good vehicle when driving is a main part of my job,” said Mike.

The Transit Connect has proved a winner many times over since its launch with the ultimate accolade of International Van of the Year award bestowed for 2003.
