Ford Focus celebrates its fourth birthday as top of its class, taking two more awards at the 2002 Auto Express New Car Honours.
With over 50 national and international awards to its name, Ford Focus has already scooped more trophies than any other car in Ford history, and continues to dominate the UK medium car sector, recording its best ever sales period in the first half of 2002.
Now it can add Auto Express’ Best Compact Family Car and Best Compact Diesel Car awards to its collection, respectively for the Ford Focus range and its widely acclaimed TDCi common-rail diesel engine.
"Ford Focus is a success story that just keeps growing, both in sales and award recognition, as the range develops", said Andy Barratt, medium car brand manager, Ford Motor Company Limited. "We continue to be delighted by its enduring popularity amongst industry experts and our customers."
The Ford Focus has been the UK’s best selling car every month for over two years and is also the world’s best selling car. The UK Ford Focus range starts from £10,995 on-the-road and has recently been expanded with the sporty Focus ST170 and stylish Focus Chic special edition.
