Ford Fiesta ST

Affordable style, performance and excitement is set to hit Britain's roads with the launch of a new range of performance Fiestas for the enthusiast market. Leading the new stable of small fast Fords, the Fiesta ST will be on-the-road at £13,595 and a competitive insurance rating of 13E.

Next out of the stable door is the new Fiesta Zetec S. There are two engines including the first performance diesel for Ford's small car line-up. With prices starting at £11, 595 the result is a car that's sporty, stylish, economical to own and fun to drive.

Fiesta ST - the ultimate in small car handling

The new 2.0 litre 150PS Fiesta ST (Sports Technologies) embodies the spirit of Ford TeamRS – the perfect combination of handling, performance and value. It sprints from 0-60mph in just 7.9 seconds with a maximum speed of 129 mph. Built on Fiesta's best-in-class chassis, ST delivers an exhilarating performance around the track at Ford's highly demanding European testing facility at Lommel, in fact Fiesta ST devoured the track in the same lap time as the more powerful Focus ST 170.

Naturally, the three-door Fiesta ST has the looks to match its performance too. A wider and deeper front grille, new bumper mouldings, discrete side skirts and a functional rear spoiler complement its low stance. Handsome multi-spoke alloy wheels with low profile, specially-tuned Pirelli P Zero tyres, create a bold, performance look.

The interior completes the package with special ST detailing and unique, partial leather sports seats, trimmed in red or blue cloth to co-ordinate with the choice of five exterior colours. The ST-exclusive option of twin sports stripes over the length of the car is available for only £150. Also available are side stripes at £75, and the combined pack of both stripe options will be available for £200.

Fiesta Zetec S - the best in accessible sporty performance

The Fiesta Zetec S enjoys fabulous handling, sporty looks, and lively performance combined with even lower cost of ownership. Zetec S shares some of the visual and dynamic features of its faster sibling, the new Fiesta ST, but retains its own distinctive personality. The ST breeding in Zetec S is obvious in the roof spoiler, deep front and rear bumper mouldings, mesh front grille and highly supportive front sports seats with optional leather. It has 16-inch alloy wheels with ultra-low profile 195/45 R16 tyres.

Fiesta Zetec S will be available in four colours. Exclusive to Zetec S buyers will be Magnum Grey metallic paint, an option at £325.

The Zetec S customer has the choice of two outstanding engines.

The free-revving 1.6 litre 16 valve 100PS Duratec petrol engine and the newly introduced 90PS 1.6 litre 16 valve TDCi Duratorq turbo diesel each combining responsive acceleration and excellent fuel economy.
