Ford carried away four separate trophies at the 2004 Fleet Excellence awards ceremony in central London today, including overall ‘Fleet Manufacturer of the Year’.
Also awarded were Ford Ka (‘Best City Car’) and Ford Focus (‘Best Lower Medium Car’), while Ford Mondeo continued its unbeaten run at the top of its segment, crowned ‘Best Upper Medium Car’ for the fourth year running.
The news comes just after the announcement that Ford retained UK new car market leadership for the 27th straight year in 2003, also achieving the overall best selling car and number one fleet car (Ford Focus) and number one diesel car (Ford Mondeo).
"I’m delighted to add to our Fleet Excellence awards again this year. In only the past four years, we’ve received over 20 Fleet Excellence awards for both our vehicle range and service – to me, that proves our terrific sales performance continues to be matched by the quality of our people and products", said Ford Britain’s director of fleet operations, Kevin Griffin.
