The new series three Ford Focus ST has gone on sale priced from £22,195 with first deliveries expected in February 2015.
There is now the choice of petrol or diesel power with the option of either a 2.0-litre 250PS EcoBoost petrol or 2.0-litre 185PS TDCi diesel engine. Both engines are available in either the hatchback or estate body style with the choice of ST1, ST2 or ST3 trim.
The 2.0-litre EcoBoost petrol outputs 250PS @ 5,500 rpm / 360Nm (2,000 - 4,500rpm) equating to a 0-62 mph time of 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 154 mph. On the official NEDC combined cycle 41.5 mpg is recorded with CO2 emissions of 159 g/km.
The Diesel Focus ST is powered by an 185PS @ 3,500 rpm / 400Nm (2,000 - 2,750rpm) TDCi unit, 0-62 mph takes 8.1 seconds and the top speed is 135 mph. On the official NEDC combined cycle it is capable of 67.3 mpg with CO2 emissions of 110 g/km.
Both engines now feature stop/start tech and six-speed manual transmissions.
There is a choice of three trim levels, ST1, ST2 and ST3:
Standard equipment includes, 18” ST Alloy Wheels, Thatcham Cat1 Alarm, ST Body kit, ST Scuff plates and rear spoiler, air conditioning, Recaro Sports Seats in fabric, Radio/CD Player with DAB, Aux and USB with 4.2” TFT display, Ford� SYNC, Keyless Start, MY Key, TMPS and Black finish roof rails on the Estate model.
The Focus ST2 adds Recaro Sports Seats in leather, heated windscreen, LED daytime running lights, auto on headlights, rain sensitive wipers, auto dipping mirror, and dual electronic temperature controlled air conditioning plus front and rear carpet mats.
The ST3 gains on the ST2 spec with SYNC2 with 8” TFT DAB audio system, BI-Xenon headlights with adaptive front lighting and jet wash, heated Recaro front seats with leather facing, driver’s and front passenger 8-way electric seats, Recaro sculptured rear bench seat, power fold mirrors, cruise control, 18” rock metallic alloys, red brake callipers, illuminated scuff plates, rear partaking sensors and Ford Keyfree system.
