Ford Special Vehicle Preparations (SVP) has been showing off their Ford Focus ST Police liveried demonstrator.
Instead of the unmarked five-door hatchback used in the new Sweeney film this version is in estate format and is decked out as liveried traffic car.
Ford is billing this as a compact traffic car meeting the latest National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) standards for fast response vehicles inside and out. The light bar on the roof is all-LED, and the dashboard is fitted with a mobile data terminal (MDT) and screen to illustrate the Focus ST’s versatility for multi-role police use.
The car appeared at the National Association of Police Fleet Managers’ Conference and Blue Light Fleet Exhibition (NAPFM) in Peterborough.
Terry Adams, Ford’s Direct Sales Manager for Police, Fire & Ambulance, commented: “With the Ford Focus ST being seen so publicly on cinema screens nationwide, the timing for this ‘official’ version couldn’t be better. At the NAPFM show we displayed the car’s crime-fighting talents to police transport managers and took bookings for demonstrations.”
Of course for civilian use you buy your own version of the Ford Focus ST from £21,995 for hatchback and £23,095 for the estate model.
