Ford B-MAX (Side) (2012)

Ride and Handling

All modern Fords are dynamically accomplished and the B-Max is no exception. It handles with tidy verve and is good fun behind the wheel for the type of car it is. The added height of the B-Max over a Fiesta is noticeable in a touch of body roll on the bends when you jostle it along a twisty road, but the general feel is sure-footed and assured. The ride quality verges on firmness but is compliant enough to be cushioning and comfortable.

Ease of Use

The B-Max is just slightly longer than a Fiesta, an extra 12 cm in length, but because is it also taller it looks a bigger car. The rear seats fold down for added carrying capacity and the sliding rear doors make loading of large objects surprisingly easy. The standard boot size is 304 litres but it expands to 1,372 litres with the back seats stowed down. That is with a space-saver spare wheel, or you can have a tyre repair kit instead for a bit of extra room.
