Ford IT experts are providing training and instruction for parents with limited or no computer skills at Phoenix Primary School, Laindon on Tuesdays between 9.30am and 11am. The skills will allow parents to relate to their children's school work, and enable them to use the internet to apply for jobs and services.
David Cayton, Manager, Ford of Britain Education and Community Department, said: "Ford is very pleased to support Phoenix Primary School and the Basildon Education Services Trust by sharing our IT expertise with local parents. Phoenix School has excellent facilities and a welcoming environment for adult learning."
Nicola Gregory from the Education and Community Department and IT experts Peter Cooke and Tim Jones are encouraged by Ford to support this initiative, which is provided to parents free of charge.
