Drivers of existing low-CO2 Ford vehicles equipped with ECOnetic technologies are set to benefit from zero London Congestion Charge regulations coming into force in January 2011.
From 4th January 2011, the new Greener Vehicle 100 per cent Discount will mean exemption from the Congestion Charge for cars with CO2 emissions of 100g/km or less, which also meet the Euro 5 standard for air quality.
The Ford Fiesta and Ford Fiesta Van ECOnetic models both emit 98g/km CO2 - less than the current Congestion Charge threshold of 100g/km of CO2.
Jon Wellsman, sales director, Ford of Britain, said: "Ford offers a large range of cars and commercial vehicles and I am delighted that they include vehicles which will be exempt from the London Congestion Charge. Even more exciting is the introduction of our zero-emission Transit Connect Electric in 2011 and Focus Electric in 2012."
The next review of Congestion Charge discount criteria will be carried out in 2012.
