This is the most powerful road car ever launched by Ferrari – this is the new F12berlinetta which will be on show at this year’s Geneva International Motor Show. It has been designed to replace the Ferrari 599 , which we reviewed in back in 2007
The front engined Ferrari F12berlinetta is powered by a 6262cc V12 engine it produces 740 CV (chevaux vapeur or steam horses), so about 730 bhp. It delivers 690 Nm of torque with 80% being available to 2,500 rpm – which is enought to propel the F12berlinetta from 0 – 62 mph in 3.1 seconds and then on to a top speed of over 211 mph, this is all through an F1 dual-clutch transmission.
It completed a lap Ferrari’s proving ground - the Fiorano circuit in 1’23”, which is faster than any other Ferrari road car.
