Ferrari will pay tribute to the Targa Florio and to its historic route at the 2011 Eco Targa Florio with the Ferrari Tribute to the Targa Florio.
A new route and programme have been devised which connectes the history of the race with the character, tastes and aromas of Sicily. The 2011 routewill retrace the route of the 'Piccolo Circuito delle Madonie' from start to finish.
A number of stops have been planned in the regularity trials to provide entrants with the opportunity to sample the food and sights of Sicily.
Ferrari sport and sport-prototypes manufacturered from 1948 to 1978 are eligible for the Eco Targa Florio Classic. Entrants can choose which event they would prefer to enter. All Ferraris manufacturered between 1948 and 2011 are eligible.
This year's edition of the road race takes place from Thursday, 29th September to Saturday, 1st October 2011.
The three day event will start in Cerda (PA, Italy), the historic Targa Florio starting point, with scrutineering on either Wednesday 28th September or the morning of Thursday 29th September. The prize-giving ceremony will take place on Sunday, 2nd October at Castello Utveggio (PA, Italy).
