Following on from the 2008 California, Ferrari has now introduced the California T their first turbocharged road car since the mighty F40.
The California T features a hard top retractable roof that will fold down in 14 seconds to reveal the 2+ configuration, albeit the rear seats are only suited to pre-teen children or luggage.
The California T has seen a complete re-working since the introduction of the previous normally aspirated car, there is a new engine, revised suspension set-up with the latest latest-generation Magnaride dampers to improve driving dynamics.
The California T is powered by a new 3.9 litre turbocharged V8 engine producing 553 bhp. This will propel the California T from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 196 mph. Co2 emissions are rated at 250 g/km and on the combined cycle consumption has been recorded at 22.4 mpg.
The engine in the California T is also seen in the Maserati Quattroporte but is completely re-worked.
We are expecting to see the first cars delivered to the UK in September 2014 with a price tag of around £155k.
