Ferrari Europe will partner with the British Racing Drivers' Club, in order to give a group of 50 disabled, disadvanted and seriously ill children the experience of a 15 minute passenger ride around the Silverstone Circuit in a Ferrari California. They will be joined by professional racing drivers from the British Racing Drivers' Club and "BRDC SuperStars" - young drivers who are being trained by the club to become professional drivers.

The event is being held in conjunction with The Variety Club, the Children's Charity, who for 60 years has been helping improve lives of over a million chlidren and young people for more than 60 years, and BEN the automotive charity providing care, financial help, emotional support and advice for those who work or have worked in the automotive industry.

The Ferrari California Experience has been officially opened by pupils from one the schools supported by the Variety Club, accompanied by Jason Plato - BTCC champion, Mike Brewer - TV presenter and event host, BRDC member Tim Harvey and Jessica Linley - reigning Miss England and Variety Club ambassador.

Matteo Torre, Ferrari North Europe's Regional Manager, commented: "The Ferrari California Experience is now a core part of our CSR activity in the UK. It is our honour and privilege to be able to share the excitement of riding in a Ferrari with another group of truly deserving children. Last year's event was unforgettable, not only for the children but for all those who donated their time and energy. We look forward to partnering once again with Silverstone and the BRDC to create another memorable day."
