FBS Census V6
The Census V6, manufactured by FBS Cars of Brackley, Northants, is being tipped as a true British future classic by Macdonald Racing. The Co. Durham historic Lagonda specialist will provide a full dealer service for the Census alongside its existing Morgan franchise.

"As soon as I started to drive the Census I was aware that it attracted a lot of attention. The unique body design and melodious exhaust note are just the things that make a sports car memorable and, combined with the traditional front engine rear drive layout and masses of torque, I am sure that this car really could be a future classic. A sports car should beg to be driven and inspire precise and concentrated input from the driver. This car does just that. In more than 37 years of involvement with fine sporting cars of all sorts I must say that the ride, handling and road-holding of this car are at least as good as any I can remember. This is why I wanted to be involved with the Company" said owner and MD John Macdonald.

Macdonald Racing’s range of services includes all aspects of classic car restoration, and as part of its competition and tuning activity has undertaken racing preparation work on pre-war Lagondas for ex Honda Grand Prix CEO Nobuhiko Kawamoto.

With 170 PS on tap and a sub 6 second 0-60 mph time, the deceptively quick £26,635 Census V6 has been in series production since June 2002. Full contact details for Macdonald Racing and other Census agents are available on the company’s website at www.fbscars.co.uk.

Now in its fifth year of trading, FBS is working towards a medium term production target of 50 plus vehicles per year. The Census design team’s experience includes work undertaken for Lotus, Aston Martin, Prodrive and BMW-Rover.
