FBS Census V6 Hardtop
Soft tops may be for the young at heart, but the novelty can quickly fade after the first time your convertible is cut into by low-life looking for easy pickings.

Added peace of mind is now on hand for Census V6 owners, in the form of a stylish hard top option to be unveiled on the FBS Cars stand, number 5429, at the Birmingham International Motor Show at the NEC this month.

Developed to meet the needs of people who are uncomfortable about leaving their cars unattended, the hard top complements the standard immobiliser, and optional alarm and vehicle tracking security systems already available for the Census V6. It also adds an extra layer of sound proofing and insulation for additional year-round driving comfort.

Designed to be fitted or removed in around 20 minutes the top clips in place using the same fastenings as the existing folding hood, which remains stowed in place on the car. Each one comes as standard with a glass rear window equipped with an electrical demisting element. The hard tops are finished in the same shades as those chosen by individual customers for their car's main body colour, with a headlining to match that of the interior trim.

The hard top adds £1,900 to the on the road price of the £26,370 Census V6 sports car, which is manufactured by FBS Cars of Brackley, Northampton.
