Daihatsu has introduced a high value limited edition version of its popular Copen roadster. Called the Vivid and available only in red, it is on sale at dealers across the UK now for just £12,995.
Despite costing £500 less than the standard Copen and featuring the same standard equipment, such as electric windows, a CD tuner, alloy wheels and air-conditioning, the Vivid comes with around £700 worth of extras.
Unique red paintwork, heated cloth seats, a leather Momo sports steering wheel and a rear tonneau cover, to smooth the gap between the boot and the back seats when the roof is down, are all included entirely free of charge.
The Vivid also, of course, features the Copen’s main party piece, an electrically operated hard folding roof, which at the flick of a switch converts it from a cosy two-seater coupe into an open top roadster (and vice versa) in just 20 seconds.
A silky smooth 660cc turbocharged four-cylinder engine enables a top speed of 106 mph, while compact external proportions make the Copen one of the most manoeuvrable two-seaters on the road.
