A one-off version of the popular Copen Sportscar from Daihatsu, brought to Britain specifically for display at The Sunday Times Motor Show Live, has proved so popular that more will be brought in from Japan following the show.
The pearlescent white model, featuring a full white leather interior, was sold off the stand within two days of the show opening, leaving a string of disappointed would-be buyers. The sporty two seater, capable of a 106mph top speed and incorporating a surprisingly powerful 660cc turbo-charged engine, will be delivered to its new owner at the end of the show.
The Copen, available from £13,495, has enjoyed outstanding success since its launch last November. The sleek looking Copen has undoubtedly been the most popular attraction with visitors at the Daihatsu stand (in Hall 5) and having the option to take the car for a test drive at the show has been a major selling point.
