It’s back! BMW Ladies Day, the female only driving event based at the BMW Performance Centre in Corby, Northamptonshire, is being held again in 2005 following a highly successful introduction in 2004.
For £245 guests will be able to hone their driving skills in a variety of high performance cars at Rockingham Speedway, home of the BMW Performance Centre. During the day they will be able to lap the 1.5mile circuit, tackle a challenging off-road course, be shown how to control a skid and handle a car in a range of other driving exercises. After several hours behind the wheel, attendees will have sampled the delights of the all-new BMW 3 Series Saloon, a selection of the existing M3, M3 CSL, 120i, Z4 and products from the X Series off-road range, as well as several MINIs and a high performance Formula One style single seat race car. Unlike driving days offered by other circuits, the BMW Ladies Day has a high car to participant ratio ensuring each person gets the maximum amount of time behind the wheel. For an additional £50 charge non-driving guests can also attend.
Susan Payne, BMW Marketing Services Project Manager, said: "Traditionally track days have been very much a male dominated arena, but the BMW Ladies Day gives females the chance to experience the best of the BMW Group product range, without all the male testosterone flying around, and have some fun in the process."
In addition to lapping the circuit with increasing confidence and speed, ladies and any non-driving guests will also be treated to some first class hospitality. A three-course lunch provides a welcome break from the high octane action and at the end of the day each driver will receive a personalised photograph of themselves in action. Clarins, producers of luxury beauty products, will also offer a complimentary item, for driving guests to take home to pamper themselves.
There will be two BMW Ladies Days staged in 2005. The first is on Saturday, 19 March, the second is on Sunday, 10 July. To book a place contact 0800 777151 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
