The BMW 5 Series has been voted the overall winner of the Used Car of the Year 2003, by Used Car Buyer magazine’s panel of 13 motoring journalists and industry experts.
Now in its fourth, year the annual awards competition was fiercer than ever with over 90 cars assessed in 11 categories. BMW and Ford proved the strongest marques, both picking up two category wins. Ford took Best Used Supermini with the Ka and Best Used Small Family Car with the Focus. BMW won Best Used Executive Car with the 5 Series, which also took the overall title, and Best Used Luxury Car with the 7-Series.
Other category winners were: Toyota Yaris (Supermini), Skoda Octavia (Medium Cars), Porsche 911 (Sports Cars), Mazda MX-5 (Convertibles), SEAT Alhambra (MPV), Jeep Grand Cherokee (4x4), Volvo V70 (Estates).
