Two new engines have been introduced for the BMW Z4, a new all-aluminium 2.0 litre four-cylinder unit, with BMW's twin-turbo technology, available in two derivatives.
The new engines will be available in the BMW Z4 sDrive20i and sDrive28i versions, replacing the SDrive23i and sDrive30i models. In the sDrive20i, the engine produces 184hp at 4800rpm, and 270Nm torque at 1250rpm. For the sDrive28i, 245hp at 5000rpm and 350Nm at 1250rpm.
The BMW Z4 sDrive20i and BMW Z4 sDrive28i will both feature the twin-scroll turbocharger technology, high-precision direct fuel injection, VALVETRONIC variable valve control and double-VANOS camshaft control previously only seen in six-cylinder BMWs.
