The BMW 6-Series range has been given a light make over for next year, ahead of its appearance at the Detroit Motor Show. The new range which comprises Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe will go on sale on 1st March 2015, prices and detailed specifications will be released on the 9th January.
The updates include exterior styling and interior revisions to bring it up to date with the competition. There has been some reworking under the bonnet to ensure all engines are Euro 6 compliant and more fuel efficient, all petrol engines will now feature sports exhausts with switchable cabin acoustics.
The exterior adds LED headlights, a new metallic paint palette with five new colours for the Coupe and Convertible, and a new front kidney grille to improve engine cooling, and mirrors to improve aerodynamics.
The interior now features a leather dashboard across the range and a high-gloss black finish on the centre console around the switches for the climate control system and audio system.
Which complements the iDrive system's display with its chromed surround; there is a new multi-functional instrument panel and LED lights to illuminate the footwells, door openings and glovebox. Dakota, Nappa or Merino leather trim will be standard in the UK, depending on the model.
