Bentley has confirmed that an SUV based on EXP 9F concept that was seen at the Geneva Motor Show this year will enter production and go on sale in 2016.
It is expected that it will be powered by Bentley's 6.0 litre, twin-turbocharged W12 engine with an 8-speed transmission, although the company's new 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine or a hybrid drivetrain might make better sense.
It will be built in Crewe and will create over 1000 new jobs, following the news that Bentley will be investing more than £800 million into the Crewe facility.
Bentley has yet to reveal any official images, although it believed they have toned down the EXP 9F concept.
Bentley are aiming to sell around 3,000 versions of their SUV, with an expected on sale price of around £120,000.
