Effect 1st June 2011, Michael Baumann has been appointed as Communications Director for Bentley (Crewe). He will directly report to Wolfgang Durheimer in his role as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bentley Motors.
Durheimer said: "We are working continuously on the further development of the Bentley brand. With Michael Baumann we now have an internationally experienced communications expert from the premium segment on board. He will give a fresh impetus to the positive business trend we are experiencing at Bentley."
In 2003, Baumann joined Porsche AG's press department and has been responsible for International PR since 2005. Prior to working for Porsche, Michael worked at WirtschaftsWoche, as the New York based correspondent.
Currently responsible for Bentley PR is Mike Hawes, who will remain as head of corporate and government affairs, an area which has increasing importance for the company. He will report to Michael Baumann.
