Audi have released two new TT models, which are available to order early May – the Audi ‘TT RS plus’ Coupe and the ‘TT RS plus’ Roadster are priced from £48,945 to £52,265. The first cars should be seen here in the UK during the summer 2012 and are available with six-speed manual or 7-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmissions.
The Audi ‘TT RS plus’ range is based on the existing TT RS but you get an extra 20PS (now 360PS) – torque is increased by 15Nm to 465Nm and the limited top speed of the TT RS is increased to 174 mph. The coupe can now accelerate from 0 – 62 mph in 4.1 seconds with the S tronic twin-clutch transmission.
According to Audi the Coupé should achieve a combined economy test figure of 33.2 mpg and the Roadster 32.8 mpg.
The Audi ‘TT RS plus’ gains 19-inch five-arm “Rotor” design titanium-look alloy wheels. Their a single frame radiator grille with a matt aluminium surround and polished anthracite diamond-pattern mesh, carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) door mirror housings, finished off with black oval tailpipe trims and a sports exhaust system. Under the bonnet there is carbon design package.
Standard equipment includes the Technology Package which comprises satellite navigation, Bluetooth phone preparation and Audi Music Interface iPod connection.
