Volvo Trucks Deliver 200 Trucks To Switzerland's Carlsberg Brewery

Published: 14th January 2003
Volvo Trucks has signed an agreement with the Carlsberg-owned brewery, Feldschlösschen Getränke, in Switzerland. Under the contract, Volvo will supply 200 bodied trucks under a repair and maintenance agreement to Feldschlösschen. The deal also sees Volvo taking system responsibility for the brewery’s entire vehicle fleet.

The contract encompasses 160 heavy Volvo trucks and about 40 light goods vehicles (Renault Master), which will replace Feldschlösschen’s current fleet. The trucks will be delivered fully-bodied with hydraulic lifts.

This is the largest single order ever received by the Volvo Trucks’ Swiss subsidiary - Volvo Trucks (Suisse) SA.

Deliveries to Feldschlösschen Getränke will get under way during the first quarter of this year.
