With winter upon us Volvo is offering motorists some great value ways to keep their cars in top condition over the coming months.
Winter Kit: £8.99
The Volvo Winter Kit comprises all the essential items needed in the car when it’s cold and frosty: concentrated windscreen washer fluid, de-icer spray, lock defroster, condensation cloth and an ice scraper. It is available from Volvo dealers for £8.99, and would make an ideal stocking filler this Christmas.
Winter Check: £30
The cold weather brings added demands on a car's main functions, so Volvo dealers are now offering all motorists a rigorous 25-point £30 'Winter Check' to help ensure maximum performance, reliability, peace of mind and safety while driving during the months ahead.
The 'Winter Check' includes the following items:
- Check coolant anti-freeze strength
- Check all coolant hoses for condition & security
- Check fan/alternator belt condition & adjustment
- Check exhaust system for condition & security
- Check condition of brake pads & discs
- Check condition of brake hoses
- Check handbrake operation & adjustment
- Check battery condition
- Check all internal instruments and controls
- Check steering and suspension for condition and security
- Check shock absorbers for leakage/condition
- Check windscreen washers for operation and adjust as required
It also includes the following items usually available separately in Volvo's existing £15 'Check and Clean' inspection package:
- Check engine oil level
- Check coolant level
- Check screen wash fluid level
- Check power steering fluid level
- Check battery security & electrolyte level
