Volvo Aims Model Year Improvements At Company Motorists
Published: 10th May 2003
Volvo’s 2004 model year changes have been announced with
some significant improvements that benefit the corporate market.
In addition, the 2.4T engine available in the S60, V70 and S80 has been upgraded to a 2.5T unit, offering more power without harming economy or emissions.
The S40 and V40 ranges have received many price reductions (of up to £860 for 2.0T Sport Lux) despite increases in standard specification. Leather upholstery is now standard across the entire model range, although entry level 1.6 S models can be specified without leather for a price reduction of £500, bringing on the road prices down to just £13,980 and £14,980 for the S40 and V40 models respectively.

‘By introducing the 2.0T engine into S80 and V70 we have tried to offer fleets a more comprehensive range of engines to suit all levels on their car choice lists,’ explained Ian Rendle, Volvo Car UK’s Corporate Sales Manager.
‘At the other end of the range the S40 and V40
with leather upholstery and more equipment as standard now
offer fleets better value than ever,’ he added.
