Volvo S60 R
Build Quality
With the S60 R Volvo have created a car that has the build quality to compete with its German rivals. The materials used are excellent and there were no intrusive rattles to contend with. This car should prove durable in the long term.
Value For Money
The Volvo S60 R is excellent value for money at £34,313.00 on the road, offering above average levels of standard equipment. Volvo is committed to safety and the S60 R boasts an impressive standard safety package many of these features would be optional extra's on some of its rivals. The S60 R is also competitively priced to compete with its established rivals including the Audi S4 £36,835, the BMW M3 £41,150 and Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG £47,935.
Overall Opinion
According to Peter Horbury Volvo's British Executive Design Director 'Nobody's allowed to show off in Sweden and a Volvo's not a show off's car'.
Volvo shouldn't try too hard to compete with its German rivals because their ethos is different - the S60 R is the epitome of understated elegance. It offers awesome performance combined with class leading safety and can comfortably accommodate five adults.
Discretion is the essence of the S60 R and in our opinion is what makes this Volvo unique and desirable.
