Volvo is committed to safety and the S60 R boasts an impressive standard safety package many of these features would be optional extra's on some of its rivals. The S60 R is also competitively priced to compete with its established rivals including the Audi S4 £36,835, the BMW M3 £41,150 and Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG £47,935.

Overall Opinion

According to Peter Horbury Volvo's British Executive Design Director 'Nobody's allowed to show off in Sweden and a Volvo's not a show off's car'.

Volvo shouldn't try too hard to compete with its German rivals because their ethos is different - the S60 R is the epitome of understated elegance. It offers awesome performance combined with class leading safety and can comfortably accommodate five adults.

Discretion is the essence of the S60 R and in our opinion is what makes this Volvo unique and desirable.
