Volvo C70
In Car Entertainment and Satellite Navigation
As standard the Volvo C70 T5 Sport is fitted with Volvo’s High Performance System which comprises of a single slot CD player and an AM/FM radio and 4 x 40 watt amps powering 8 speakers. The system is absolutely fantastic with faithful reproduction and very impressive. Should you disagree you can specify a Dynaudio Premium Hi-Fi System with Dolby Pro Logic II, 12 speakers plus two sub-woofers developed by the Danish speaker experts Dynaudio, offering a total output of 910 watts of music power, the cost is £1100 and it is standard on the SE LUX model. Having heard Dynaudio systems in other cars I would be very tempted.
You can specify a communications pack for an extra £2150 which comprises of a GSM Telephone, Satellite Navigation with a hard drive containing the maps and Volvo’s on call system - expensive but rather clever.
How It Looks - Exterior
The C70 was designed by the British designer Steve Mattin - We especially like the exterior design of the Volvo C70 – typically Volvo, sharing the same DNA from the nose cone through the to rear lights. Classically Scandinavian the C70 looks as equally good with the roof up or down. It is not overly aggressive, keeping clean and simple lines.
How It Looks - Interior
The interior is Swedish minimalist design at its very best and every thing is ergonomically laid out. As with all new Volvos the C70 features the aluminium floating centre stack / console which houses the controls for the dual climate control, audio controls and the car customisations menus. I understand that you can specify a wooden centre stack should you prefer.
