For the launch of the Volkswagen Amarok, Volkswagen has launched a 'Knowledge is Power' integrated campaign, featuring outdoor, press, online and retail activity, as well as social media, mobile and outdoor campaigns across the UK.

The Volkswagen Amarok went on sale 9th May 2011, along side the launch of press and online adverts. Online features include a 360 degree viewer and films which demonstrate the Volkswagen Amarok's power, including being used to demolish a 140 tonne steel tower, work normally completed by a 40 tonne excavator.

Mark Hopkins, Marketing Communications Manager, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK, said: "The new Amarok is packed with power and intelligence, and brings Volkswagen standards of quality and efficiency to the pick-up market. We wanted to achieve something extraordinary to demonstrate this for its launch, and by working with the right experts and taking a scientific approach to demolishing a 67 metre steel chimney, we've shown the maximum strength and power of the Amarok."

The Volkswagen Amarok is available now as a four door double-cab, in three trim levels. Prices start from £21,343.
