Vauxhall Rolls Out New Vectra Accessories

Although the new Vectra’s designers have produced a remarkably well equipped car, the aftersales team at Vauxhall have been busy devising custom-made accessories to help owners get even more from their car.
With family motoring holidays now uppermost in many minds, some of the new accessories designed for the new Vectra are likely to appeal to owners about to take delivery of their new car. The range includes a bumper scratch protector, which costs £31, a tow hitch-mounted bicycle carrier costing £183, luggage nets at £23 and a baby cradle complete with transponder at £109.
The rear bumper protector folds out from the boot when loading to protect the bumper’s painted surface from scratching. It clips easily on to lashing loops built into the boot floor. Made of weatherproof material, it also lends itself for use as a compact picnic blanket.
Capable of transporting two bikes on a Vauxhall towing attachment, the bicycle carrier is strong and stable. Rubber frames provide maximum grip and protect the bike frames, while a double locking feature secures the bike to the carrier and the carrier to the tow hitch. It comes with supplementary lighting to connect to the trailer electrical socket.
The multi-functional, elasticated luggage net is designed for use in the boot to secure smaller items of luggage together. It helps prevent noise and damage to items when on the move.
When the baby cradle is installed on the front passenger seat of the new Vectra, it is equipped with a special transponder that shuts off the passenger airbag while the seat is in use. Crash test results indicate that it is safer for children travelling in the front seat if the airbag is deactivated*.
