Tyre Insurance Guards Against Potholes And Vandals

Published: 9th November 2002
Tyres can be expensive enough without worrying about emergency repairs or costly replacements as a result of punctures, potholes or vandalism.

Now MasterCover Tyre Insurance has been introduced to give owners peace of mind and a guarantee against unexpected bills with new for old cover and no claims excess.

For just £25 per year it covers all four tyres plus the spare against malicious or accidental damage and puncture repairs. Fitment of a new valve and wheel balancing are included and there are no mileage restrictions. The only thing not covered is wear and tear.

To qualify for the policy tyres must simply have at least 3mm of tread. There is also a claim limit of £100 per tyre including VAT with a maximum of £400 including VAT. Full details of the new insurance scheme are available from participating Vauxhall dealers.

Commenting on the scheme, Nigel Griggs, Vauxhall aftersales marketing manager, said: "We think that MasterCover Tyre Insurance is a real breakthrough in offering motorists peace of mind and the ability to further control motoring costs by budgeting against unexpected bills."
