Small but perfectly formed, the Vauxhall Agila is a highly popular and desirable small car, and its charms have already gained it a loyal following. Among its many fans are those who admire its manoeuvrability and smooth drive, its compact size and quirky looks.
Capable of seating up to five adults, Agila can also transport up to 597 litres of luggage with the rear seats folded – it truly is extremely versatile. Measuring just 3.5 metres from end to end, Agila may look small but it has big potential.
And the most recent addition to the ever-increasing ranks of Agila fans is the General Manager of the South African Tourist Board.
Won over by Agila’s cheeky looks and versatility Nolwazi Mdluli, General Manager of the South African Tourist Board in the UK, has bought two Agilas to offer as prizes to the best performing UK travel agents who sell the most Sunsation 2004 packages to South Africa.
Commenting on the purchase of the two prize Agilas Ms Mdluli said: "We have an exciting campaign running and wanted to reward the top selling agents with something they would be wowed by. We felt that the Agila was a fun and funky car – much like our destination. At the same time we were looking for a purchase that is good value for money – again a similarity we like to share with South Africa as a destination."Published 1 May 2004
