Vauxhall Astra Estate

Comprehensive safety system

Astra estate’s elaborate safety system builds on features such as the car’s high-strength body with crash boxes, with options such as the IDSPlus chassis with ESPPlus Electronic Stability Program, TCPlus Traction Control, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), as well as ABS with brake assist and four disc brakes. The Astra’s system also includes front and thorax/pelvis side airbags for driver and front seat passenger, three-point safety belts (front and outer rear seats height-adjustable) all round, mountings for the ISOFIX child’s seat system in the rear, a belt warning system that visually and acoustically reminds driver and front passenger to fasten their seatbelts and safety pedals that uncouple in the event of a frontal impact (PRS, Pedal Release System). Head curtain airbags in front and for outer rear seats and active head restraints in front are also standard on most models.

Comprehensive and high value specifications

With a choice of five model specifications, Vauxhall meets the most diverse customer needs with new Astra estate. Plus, over 50 extras are available including technical highlights such as steering-linked Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL) with dynamic curve light, bi-xenon headlamps with automatic beam control and electronic climate control.

In addition, Astra estate owners can also enjoy the new generation of infotainment systems first introduced in the hatch. These systems are highly usable and have an almost intuitive operating system. The wide range of infotainment options includes units with digital radio (DAB - Digital Audio Broadcast), MP3-compatible CD-players, integrated six-CD-changers, navigation systems and voice control for the telephone.
