Following on from the successful launch of the dynamic, new Astra hatch, Vauxhall has announced pricing details of the next member of new Astra’s family… the spacious and stylish estate.
Offering excellent value for money, style and an inspiring driving experience, prices for the Astra estate range start from a surprisingly low £13,045 for the Life 1.4 16v and top out at just £18,695 for either the 2.0 litre turbo or 1.9 litre CDTi (150 hp) in Design specification.
This competitive pricing is anticipated to work hand-in-hand with the well-specified trim variants - Life and Club offering superb value for money and a high level of spec; Design including a touch more comfort and a few more styling cues; and SXi and SRi perfect for those looking for a sporty, dynamic estate with looks to match – to appeal to an increasingly wide range of customers.
Additional customer choice is available in the wide variety of engine choices for new Astra estate. These include the 1.4 and 1.6 TWINPORT and 1.8 petrol engines, and the 1.7 CDTi diesel choice in both 80 hp and 100 hp forms. Plus, to support the introduction of the sporty SXi and SRi models, Astra estate will be offered with the choice of Vauxhall’s new range-topping 2.0 Turbo and 1.9 (both 120 hp and 150 hp) CDTi engines.
As well as an outstanding choice of engines, the new Astra estate also offers outstanding interior space – both in the cabin and in the boot. Over 330 mm longer and 44 mm wider than the current Astra estate, the new model boasts both a comfortable and roomy cabin as well as class leading load capacity, which has increased by 70 litres from the current model to 1570 litres with the rear bench seat folded - load volume is 505 litres under the luggage cover with the seats up.
Delivering modern good looks, a rewarding driving experience and high levels of usability and roominess, the new Astra estate offers customers massive versatility as well as inspiring design and impressive performance. It will go on sale 1 November.
