100 Hours To Get Deal Of A Century From Vauxhall Dealers
Published: 26th April 2003
Why 100 hours – and why the deals? It’s all to allow customers to help the company celebrate its 100th birthday on 1 May representing a century of building cars in the UK.
Between 2pm on Thursday 1 May and 6pm on Monday 5 May customers will be able to save up to £2,500 on selected new cars and vans and there will be great deals on a range of Network Q quality used vehicles.
Vauxhall’s dealers have a stunning selection of cars and vans to suit every taste and every budget.
"By giving people just 100 hours to visit a showroom and make their choice, we know we will open their eyes to the great range of models we produce. It is certainly a long way from the 5hp car that first bore the Vauxhall badge in 1903," says executive director sales and marketing Bill Parfitt.
That first car cost £136. Translated to 2003 prices that represents £7505.
Several of today’s Vauxhall models can be on your drive for a similar price – but they make more progress than those first 5hp models which had their speed governed to 18 mph!
