Vauxhall Signum

Comfort and Refinement

With the introduction of the Signum Vauxhall claim that you 'discover a new level of refinement' and during our time with the car we were impressed with the level of thought that has gone into the ergonomics of the vehicle.

The cabin is spacious with excellent head and leg room in both the front and rear. The vehicle has a large glazed area making the cabin light and airy. The large flexible interior has ample cabin space for 4/5 people. The doors are large and open to reveal wide access points which make it a very easy car to get in and out of for both front and rear seat occupants making the Signum an excellent choice for people with mobility problems and chauffeurs/taxi drivers.

The seats are comfortable and supportive and the driver's seat features rake, height, tilt and lumbar adjustment. The front passenger's seat features both rake and height adjustment. The three-spoke leather covered sports steering wheel is adjustable for reach and rake enabling you to find the perfect driving position.

Vauxhall engineers have designed the centre rear seat to be especially versatile. When the seat cushion is folded forward and flipped over, a practical storage console is created. All Signum models feature 'Travel Assistant' which is mounted between the two rear seats and is a multi-function console which comprises of an armrest, storage area, twin fold-out tables, electrically-chilled cool box, tidy bin, 2 x 12 volt auxiliary power sockets, drinks holders and a portable DVD holder. The upper section of the upholstered seat back can then be folded down to provide a comfortable armrest for those occupying the two outer rear seats.

The Signum's level of refinement is high and includes air-conditioning, driver information centre and multi-function trip computer, instrument panel light dimmer, indirect night lighting, fade up/down courtesy lights, illuminated luggage area, illuminated large glovebox, map reading lights with courtesy lights, seat back map pockets, roof mounted storage console with five storage compartments, front cup holders, door bins, cigar lighter with front and rear ashtrays, leather covered gear knob, twin sun visors with illuminated driver's and front passenger's vanity mirrors with covers, electrically operated front and rear windows with one touch operation.

How It Looks - Exterior

The designers of the Signum have created a bold and stylish car. It shares the unmistakable Vauxhall family styling and head-on is similar to the Vectra but the similarity stops there. This bold executive hatchback has an elegant extended body-style, sweeping roofline and chrome front grille surround and at 4,636 mm the Signum is only 40 mm longer than the Vectra saloon.

The rear of the vehicle incorporates two-colour rear lights, wrap-around rear glass, dual branch stainless steel exhaust pipes and a discreet rear spoiler.
