The new Vauxhall Mokka SUV is now on sale with prices starting from £16,995 for the entry-level, petrol two wheel drive ‘S’ 1.6 16v 115PS S/S 5-spd and rise to £ 23,490 for the top of the range, four wheel drive ‘SE’ 1.7 CDTi 130PS S/S 6-spd 4x4 diesel model.
Delivery dates are set for November 2012 but the Mokka is available to order from you local Vauxhall Dealer now.
There is a choice of three engines – there are two petrol units and one diesel;
The 1.4 petrol turbo produces the highest output of the all the engines at 140PS/200Nm and is only available with four wheel drive with a 6-speed manual gearbox. On the official combined cycle you can expect 44.8 mpg and CO2 emissions of 149 g/km. The top speed is recorded at 116 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 9.6 seconds.
There is a petrol 1.6 litre unit which produces 115PS/155Nm of torque – and features Start/Stop technology. The official combined fuel consumption figure is 43.5 mpg and CO2 emissions of 153 g/km. The 1.6 engine is available with two-wheel drive and a 5-speed manual gearbox. You can expect 0-60 mph in 12.2 seconds and a top speed of 106 mph.
The diesel 1.7 litre engine outputs 130PS/300Nm and official combined fuel consumption figure is 60.1 mpg and CO2 emissions of 124 g/km for the two-wheel drive manual Mokka. This engine is available with two (6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic) or four wheel drive with a 6-speed manual box. The top speed of the two-wheel drive manual diesel is 116 mph and 0-60 mph is recorded as 9.6 seconds. The four-wheel manual diesel is capable of 114 mph and 10.2 seconds to 60 mph.
Four-wheel drive models feature Vauxhall’s light weight (65kgs) AWD system which under normal conditions sends all of the available power to the front wheels – with 50% of the power transferring to the rear axle when needed.
There are three trim levels – ‘S’, ‘Exclusiv’ and ‘SE’;
Standard equipment across all models includes DMB (Digital Media Broadcast) radio, air conditioning, Descent Control System, cruise control, aux-in and a multi-function trip computer.
