Build Quality
Overall build quality is refreshingly good and there is little to fault. The materials used are of a very high standard. Overall the Vauxhall Astra TwinTop is a very well put together car which should prove durable in the long term.
Value For Money
We felt that at £20,815 OTR (including pearlescent paint) the 1.9 CDTi Sport Astra was good value for money as it offers a high level of standard equipment combined with good levels of refinement at a very competitive price. It sits comfortably between the Ford Focus CC-2 2.0 Diesel at £19,270 and the lower powered Peugeot 307 CC Sport HDi 136 priced at £21,655.
Servicing schedules have been improved with the gap between visits to the dealership increasing to 20,000 miles or once a year, which ever comes first.
Overall Opinion
Come rain or shine the Vauxhall Astra TwinTop is a very practical coupe-convertible and little can beat the enjoyment of lowering that fantastic steel roof at the touch of button and then going for a drive.
It is an easy car to live with and is very attractive to look at. Its performance, handling and fuel economy are commendable and in our opinion it is well worth a viewing.
