BCA have signed a new deal with GM to provide exclusive Auction Remarketing Services for the manufacturer for the next three years. The deal will see approximately 10,000 GM cars and light commercials remarketed by BCA until the end of 2010.
With the exclusive partnership now extending to nine years, BCA and GM celebrated with the special launch sale of the new Vauxhall Antara and VXR8 staged at BCA Measham on 6 February.
The Network Q Exclusive Auction at Measham offered 169 vehicles and included six Antara and two VXR8 models which were offered at auction for the first time. Nearly 50 Network Q dealers attended the sale and purchased over 92% of the entry at an average of 102% CAP Clean. The sale also included Live Online bidders who bought 36 vehicles and added a minimum value of £6,000 to the sale proceeds.
The new 2007-registered Antara models averaged 70% of cost new, while the VXR8 sold for an average of £27,850, equivalent to over 82% of current list and 112% of CAP Clean.
Signum performed well, averaging 106% of CAP Clean. Both Astra and Corsa sold strongly, averaging 105.2% and 102.6% of CAP Clean respectively, and Meriva and Vectra both sold at 100% of CAP Clean values.
Toni Sozzo, National Used Vehicle Sales Manager speaking on behalf of GM commented "This was a highly successful event and the buying power both on the auction hall floor and via Live Online was exceptional. The new Antara and VXR8 models both made excellent debuts and the whole event highlighted the strong remarketing partnership that GM and BCA have forged over the years.”
BCA’s National Account Manager Steve Clarke added “We are delighted that we have retained the GM business for a further three years. This first sale under the new deal was a great success that converted 92% of the entry and exceeded CAP Clean – underlining that diligent and careful preparation in every area brings its own rewards at remarketing time.”Published 18 February 2008
