The new Toyota Yaris Hybrid is available to order now, with first deliveries on the 1st July 2012. It currently the UK’s lowest priced hybrid with prices starting from £14,995

The Yaris Hybrid is powered by a Hybrid Synergy Drive system which uses a combination of a 1.5-litre VVT-i petrol engine and a nickel-metal hydride battery pack with drive through a CVT (continuously variable transmission) transmission.  CO2 emissions are 79g/km for the T3and T4 models and 85g/km for the T Spirit; respective official combined cycle fuel consumption figures are 80.7mpg and 76mpg.

There are three trim levels:

Toyota Yaris Hybrid T3 - £14,995

Standard equipment includes dual-zone air conditioning, front electric windows, 6-speaker audio system, ABS, VSC with traction control plus seven airbags with driver’s knee airbag.

Toyota Yaris Hybrid T4 - £15,895

Adds 15-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, front fog lamps, rear led lamps, Toyota Touch audio control, Bluetooth, usb port/aux-in socket, DAB-ready tuner, rear-view camera, leather steering wheel and gear knob – plus colour matched door handles and mirrors.

Toyota Yaris Hybrid T Sprit - £16,995

In addition to the above – 16-inch wheels, cruise control, smart start, rear electric windows, rain sensitive wipers, auto-diming rear-view mirrors, dusk-sensing headlights, ventilated glove box, leather parking break, part-leather upholstery, passenger seat height adjustment, front footwell illumination and a rear spoiler.

There are four option packs available for the Toyota Yaris Hybrid for the T4 and T Spirit versions.

The Protection Pack (£250) adds mudflaps, Hybrid-branded floor mats, black side mouldings and a boot liner. The Protection+ Pack (£525) provides the same items, plus rear parking sensors and a black rear bumper protector.

The Style Pack (£300) adds Hybrid-branded aluminium scuff plates and chrome-finished side sills and tailpipe trim.

Toyota Touch and Go – Navigation and Bluetooth Conectivity

The Toyota Touch and Go (£650) adds satellite navigation and advanced Bluetooth connectivity, plus the ability to access Google Local Search and connected services, such as live parking and fuel price information and local weather forecasts (enabling these services requires registration via Toyota’s customer web portal, plus compatible mobile phones with appropriate data plans and tethering).

All models are in Band A for Vehicle Excise Duty (road tax), which means a zero annual charge; likewise their sub-100g/km emissions gain exemption from the London congestion charge.

There is a choice of eight colours: Cirrus White, Eclipse Black (mica), Glacier Pearl (pearlescent), Tyrol Silver (metallic), Burning Red (metallic), Decuma Grey (metallic), Sintra Blue (metallic) and Deep Aqua (metallic).
