The three-cylinder 1.0 litre VVT-i petrol engine working in combination with a five speed manual transmission generating 68bhp at 6000rpm with maximum torque of 93nm at 3600rpm. Fuel consumption is 58.9mpg and CO2 emissions are 111g/km.

The new Toyota yaris builds on the strengths on the previous generation model and features new styling, improved quality and agility and Toyota Touch and Go.

The Toyota Touch audio system features touchscreen controls, Bluetooth, USB port and rear parking camera and is fitted as standard on all models but the entry-level Toyota Yaris. This system can be upgraded to the Toyota Touch and Go system which offers full map satellite navigation and a range of connected information services which can be accessed and downloaded via a dedicated Toyota customer portal.

Engine options for the new Toyota Yaris include a combination from the previous generation model: 1.0 and 1.33-litre petrol units and a 1.4-litre D-4D turbodiesel, all of which benefit from Toyota Optimal Drive which help cut fuel consumption and emissions without having a detrimental effect on power and torque levels.

The 1.33 litre dual VVT-i engine produces 98bhp at 3000rpm and 125NM of torque at 4000rpm. With Toyota's new Multidrive S transmission, fuel economy is 56.5mpg and CO2 emissions are 118g/km.

The 1.4 litre D-4D engine, fitted with a diesel particulate filter and is mated to a six speed manual transmission producing 89bhp at 3800rpm and maximum torque of 205Nm between 1800 and 2800rpm. Fuel consumption on the combined cycle is 72.4mpg and CO2 emissions are 104g/km.

Four grades will be available for the new Toyota Yaris - T2, TR, SR and T Spirit - and are available to order now, with the first deliveries expected from mid-September 2011.

The Toyota Yaris TR, available in three- and five-door bodystyles, features 15 inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, Vehicle Stability Control and Toyota Touch.

SR grade - exclusively available with the 1.33 litre dual VVT-i petrol engine - features a sportier profile with a range of interior and exterior element, including 16 inch alloy wheels, rear roof spoiler, front fog lamps, part-leather upholstery, rear privacy glass and lowered suspension.

The new Toyota Yaris T Spirit includes a panoramic glass roof, dualzone climate control, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, auto-dimming mirror and smart entry and start.
