The 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser will go on sale from the 1st December 2013 priced from £34,995, when the first cars will be delivered.

The SUV has undergone a number of revisions including a number of nips and tucks to exterior and interior. There have been new entertainment features and advancements in off-road technologies.

Toyota Land Cruiser Toyota Touch 2 multimedia

The Land Cruiser will now feature Toyota’s Touch high-resolution touchscreen multimedia system, which operates more along the lines of ‘drag and swipe’ gesture technology for ease of use. It has also adopted Tom Tom Real Time Traffic alerts in order to keep route planning up-to-date on the move. Destination selection has been improved with the use of Google Street View functionality, which allows users to see a high resolution image of their destination before selection.

Toyota Land Cruiser Engine

The Toyota Land Cruiser is powered by an 188bhp 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine, coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission. It produces 420Nm between 1,600 and 3,000 rpm, which help it accelerate from 0-62 mph in 10.2 second (3-door model) with Co2 emissions of 209 g/km, again for the 3-door model.

From 2014 models onwards Toyota are adopting a new naming protocol, ‘Active’, ‘Icon’ and ‘Invincible’.
