Suzuki Alto GL

Alto 1.1 GL

How It Looks - Exterior

The new Alto exterior design has been comprehensively updated. The curved bumpers are colour coded and at the front the boldly styled grille is flanked by flush-fitted headlamps. The rear light clusters are large and distinctive whilst the halogen headlamps are particularly powerful for a car of this size, front fog lamps are available as an accessory. The Fantasy Black paint finish was good and enhanced the Alto's overall appearance. The Alto GL features wheel covers as standard, alloy wheels are available as an accessory. The side protection mouldings enhance the contour lines on the doors and protect the body work from parking dents.

How It Looks - Interior

Suzuki has created more interior space by lengthening the Alto's wheelbase which results in a light and airy feel. The cabin has a contoured instrument panel with easy to read dials and sensibly positioned controls which enhance the cabin's visual appeal and are simple to use. The rev counter, trip meter, lights-on warning and key-in warning were particularly useful and in keeping with a more expensive vehicle.

The patterned fabric used for the seat upholstery and door trim looks and feels durable. Suzuki's concerns about environmental issues are reflected in many wide-reaching measures including a recycling programme that minimises waste material by turning bumpers and other plastic components into new plastic parts for Suzuki vehicles; and cogeneration technology which maximises energy efficiency.

The Alto has plenty of room for storage there are pockets in the front doors; a driver's-seat ticket holder, cup holders and a centre-console box.
