Suzuki Alto Review
Suzuki Alto
Since the first generation Alto was launched in 1979, more than 7.5 million vehicles have been sold worldwide. In January 2003 a new improved Alto was introduced built on an all new platform with updated exterior and interior styling.
We tested the manual version of the Alto 1.1 GL which returns an impressive extra-urban fuel economy of 70.6mpg.
The Alto GL is a budget car which at the moment is priced at £4995.00 (at the time of publishing this is a special offer price) and is the cheapest new car in the UK. Based on the Alto's budget motoring credentials we were a little apprehensive on taking delivery but as we soon discovered in the case of the Alto cheap does not necessarily mean nasty.
