All New Ignis

Ignis has a strong, sturdy and rigid monocoque body frame. Computer-aided design was used to perfect impact-absorbing crumple zones which disperse energy and therefore achieve a high energy absorption rate.

The body's main structure also serves to disperse impact energy and the cabin is built to resist deformation. Side impact protection beams are fitted in the doors and the centre pillars are backed by urethane pads that further help to absorb shock from a side impact.

For supplemental passenger protection Ignis is equipped with driver and front passenger airbags whilst both front seatbelts feature belt pretensioners and a load-limiting mechanism which reduces the belt load to minimise shock on the user in the case of an abrupt stop.

Very well equipped

In keeping with Suzuki's philosophy of maximising value for money Ignis is extremely well-equipped and its wide range of standard features includes power steering, radio/cassette, dual front airbags, colour-matched bumpers and an engine immobiliser. Electric windows and mirrors, central locking and many other items are standard on GL models whilst the GL 5-door also has alloy wheels, front fog lamps and roof rails.
