Subaru Keeps Talkative Drivers Mobile

Published: 4th April 2005

Subaru is doing its bit to keep motorists’ hands on the wheel whilst keeping them talking on the move with the introduction of a new, tailored hands-free kit.

After the 2003 introduction of legislation against using a hand-held phone while driving, improper use could result in a £1000 fine.

Thanks to Subaru however, the dedicated kit allows anyone with a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone to make and receive calls from the comfort of their car.

The hands-free kit has been specifically designed for quick and easy installation into all Legacys from 04 MY, and all Imprezas and Foresters from 03 MY.

Designed specifically for these models, features such as voice recognition allow hands-free conversation through wireless connection with the mobile phone. The Bluetooth head-set automatically disconnects the car stereo and connects with the speakers.

It can be fitted by any Subaru dealer in just 30 minutes, and at £225.00 (incl. VAT, excl. installation), it comes considerably cheaper than a £1000 fine!
