SsangYong Rexton Review

SsangYong Rexton
How It Looks - Interior
Apart from the dreadful fake wood trim we found the SsangYong Rexton
interior to be quite tasteful and well trimmed. We would prefer
to see metallic trim as a no cost option.
The standard black leather seats were tastefully embossed with the
Rexton logo and would not have been out of place in a more expensive
4x4.
In Car Entertainment and Satellite Navigation
Our test car was fitted with a face off Clarion aftermarket single slot CD player with radio - the sound quality was OK. You can of course always replace this system with one of your own choice.
Rivals
- Hyundai
Terracan, Jeep
Grand Cherokee,
Kia Sorento, Land
Rover Discovery II
Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Mitsubishi Shogun and Nissan Patrol
What We Liked
- The engine and gearbox
- Price
- Ease of use
- The overall driving experience
What We Disliked
- The fake wood trim - please SsangYong this is not to the majority of UK buyer’s taste and we do not consider it ‘classy’
- The aftermarket immobiliser which needed priming every time you left the car for a few minutes
What We'd Like To See
- An improved ride quality
- Parking sensors as standard
