More Accolades For ARD SsangYong

Following the recent announcement of ARD as Independent Garage of the Year in the Motor Trader Industry Awards 2005, ARD’s Trainee Technician Kelly Barnett has added to the company’s accolades. Reaching a top 10 placing in the Motor Engineer of the Year is just the latest of Kelly’s achievements, having been the IMI’s Apprentice of the Year for Hull and district in 2003 and also Student of the Year in 2003.
Kelly, from Snaith, cut her teeth helping her father maintain his fleet of general haulage trucks and having gained qualifications in Automotive Repair and Maintenance at NVQ levels 2 and 3 at Hull College, she is in her final year of training.
In addition to general servicing of all makes, much of Kelly’s time is spent on Pre-Delivery Inspection of SsangYong Rexton and Rodius vehicles to keep pace with ARD’s rapidly increasing sales figures.
However, Kelly is not just an expert in vehicle repair since she is also a member of St. John Ambulance service and instructs younger members in the 5-10 year old class in her spare time.
